The Government of Goa has launched a Skill Hub in Goa, with a six-month networking course designed by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship.

This Skill Hub was launched to kickstart the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojna. The main aim of setting up the hub at Margao IT is to introduce new skill training programs in the current education system.

Promoting vocational skill training

According to the Director for Skill Development, the initiative’s purpose is to create shared infrastructure and to develop a well-structured pathway for the students to follow for vocational training.

The Department of skill development and entrepreneurship has set up a 10-member monitoring committee to keep a check on the progress of the Skill Hub in Goa. The committee will be responsible for recommending necessary policies, corrections, and guidelines for the functioning of the skill hub.
