In a bid to increase the accessibility of higher education courses in remote as well as urban areas of Goa, the Directorate of Higher Education (DHE) launched MANDAVI (Mentoring and Nurturing Digital and Virtual Initiatives) flagship programme on Monday.

The initiative by Goa DHE is aimed at offering inclusive education to all via means of digital courses. Offering customisable learning environments and quality learning, online learning is becoming a highly preferred approach.

What is MANDAVI flagship programme?

Understanding the need for a skilled workforce in building a better tomorrow, the programme is designed in a way to offer skill-oriented courses to students who do not have access to direct courses. Notably, these courses are based on University Grant Commission (UGC) curriculum.

These courses are being developed in collaboration with faculties and other resources from HEI along with experts from the industry. In order to produce high-quality educational content, the production-based training and recording of video content of the course are being done by creative directors and experts from the film industry.

All-round development

For a state to flourish, a skilled workforce is of utmost importance as they are capable of offering strong, sustainable and balanced growth. The move to offer higher education courses online will ensure advanced theoretical and practical knowledge among the students, who're deprived of it.
