The 3rd Pride De Goa is happening on the November 9 & we should all come out for this one

Knocksense Staff

Goa is a city which is known for too many good things, which would take us a whole day to list down but one of the things which we're massively proud of is Pride De Goa!

Sexual inclusivity and empowerment have been a challenging concept in our society but with the recent abolition of Section 377 and the enforcement of LGBTQ+ rights, it has been an uphill journey!

‘Pride’ means a lot of things to different people- for some, it's a time for celebrations and for others, a period of reflection. The LGBTQIA+ community has been going strong through all the thick and thin and it’s time for us all to show them our love too!

What’s Happening?

Initiated by Goa Rainbow Trust, the 3rd edition of Pride De Goa is taking place on the 9th of November and the route will be Panjim Promenade to Miramar Beach, 3:30 PM onwards.

Why you should be here?

Everyone, regardless of age, sexuality or their gender identity, should come forward in this march and join hands to spread the word of love all around! This walk will be marked in the history of Goa as a powerful yet peaceful initiative, towards lending a helping hand to those in the closet.

This act of support will probably encourage ‘closeted’ beings, who haven’t come to terms with their identity yet and it will prompt conversations towards a better understanding of the concept. Goa pride walk started in October 2017 and with the overwhelming responses they've been receiving, this 3rd edition just had to happen!
