Paris bans rental electric scooters; To be effective from Sept 1 

Citizens of Paris have voted to ban rental e-scooters from their streets in a referendum by Mayor Anne Hidalgo, coming into effect on September 1, 2023. As a result of the vote, 15,000 rental e-scooters will now be taken off the streets of Paris.
