The five-match test series will kick off on Jan 25 with the first match to be held at Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium of Hyderabad.

Following their triumph in the three-match T20 series against Afghanistan, Team India is now gearing up for a challenging five-match Test series against England. In a recent development, the formidable batsman Virat Kohli will be notably absent from the squad for the initial two matches scheduled in Hyderabad and Vishakhapatnam.

The star batter, known for his prowess, has withdrawn from the matches citing personal reasons, as officially stated by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The cricketing authority has assured that a replacement will promptly be named by the selection committee for first two matches of Ind vs Eng series.

The highly anticipated test series kickstarts in Hyderabad on January 25, with subsequent matches scheduled for Visakhapatnam (February 2-6), Rajkot (February 15-19), Ranchi (February 23-27), and Dharamshala (March 7-11).
