In a move that celebrates India's linguistic diversity and educational inclusivity, the Indian Institute of Management, Indore (IIM-I), unveiled a groundbreaking initiative on its 12th Foundation Day. The esteemed institution is set to launch a Management Development Programme (MDP) in January 2024, with a unique twist - the curriculum will be exclusively designed in Hindi.
Additionally, IIM-I in partnership with the National Commission for Women (NCW) and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), it will aid 100 women entrepreneurs over the next five years, emphasizing its dedication to gender equality and economic empowerment.
The inaugural MDP is a two-week program, with potential for future expansion. The introduction of this program not only pays tribute to the Hindi language but also contributes to the noble goal of providing quality education for all, setting a pioneering benchmark in the field.
IIM Indore issued a communique announcing that the first batch of the two-week General Management Programme in Management (Hindi) will commence in January 2024, opening doors to a new era of learning in the native language.
In addition to this pioneering move, IIM-I also revealed plans to introduce specialized courses aimed at empowering women who have temporarily put their careers on hold. In collaboration with the National Commission for Women (NCW) and the Entrepreneurship Development Institute of India (EDII), IIM-I will assist 100 women entrepreneurs over the next five years, demonstrating a strong commitment to gender inclusivity and economic empowerment.
Furthermore, under its G8 project, IIM-I has ambitious plans for expansion, including state-of-the-art infrastructure and facilities. This expansion is aimed at accommodating a greater number of students who will help shape the future.
