After witnessing great potential for startups in the city, District Collector Manish Singh has instructed a committee of three to assess and come up with a plan evaluating the possibility of a data centre and startup hub on two available pieces of land. About 200 acres of land that belongs to the Indore Development Authority (IDA) is available on the Super Corridor for the same. The integrated data centre and startup park can also come up on the Economic Corridor.

Creating jobs & making way for new industries

The committee is tasked to provide a proper framework, blueprints for different zones, opportunities to acquire low-cost land, etc. for these projects. With a vision to establish a startup hub or I-Hub similar to Hyderabad’s T-Hub, the Indore Development Authority plans to bring new firms and businesses into the city that will consequently create new employment opportunities.

Earlier last month, 25 startups were awarded for their innovation ahead of the launch of the Madhya Pradesh Startup Policy. Indore startups were also encouraged to showcase themselves at the Dubai Expo. In addition to that, the administration is ready to provide any help and resources required by startups in the state. And now with the central government's Production Linked Incentive (PLI) Scheme for achieving Aatmanirbhar Bharat, the Indore startup industry is all set to create employment opportunities.
