According to SGSIT officials, the course will give students a holistic view of data and business analytics. Additionally, the students will also be able to gain behavioural knowledge in relation to analytics and business models. The course is designed to train students to handle and process large data. Currently, the course uses MS Excel to process large amounts of data, however, the institute is also planning to incorporate AI and machine learning.

This will help them understand how data and business analytics are used on a professional level. The course will have 10 teaching sessions. Students will be able to present the course as a specialisation to potential employers. More such courses are to be introduced by the institute in the near future.
