IMC to launch Corporation Colony Cell to showcase legal and illegal colonies in the city

The portal will become accessible for the public from December onwards.

Expected to launch by December this year, the Indore Municipal Corporation will introduce an online portal named 'Corporation Colony Cell'. This portal will offer details on legal and illegal colonies, which would aid in avoiding unauthorized land purchases.

With over 900 illegal colonies alongside 2,500 legal ones, the objective is to streamline this information online, making it readily accessible on the Corporation's website.

Previously, obtaining colony information necessitated multiple trips to the Corporation HQ's Colony Cell, often due to staff availability issues. To address this, the transition to online services is underway, including an online process for colony development permissions.

Out of 250 colonies undergoing legalization, 100 have successfully completed the process, while 32 more are in progress and set to gain legal status by August 25th. Work continues on the remaining 118 colonies, and detailed information will be released shortly, allowing for claims and objections.
