Earlier, a special 15-day vaccination drive was initiated in Indore to vaccinate people in the high-risk groups. These categories were listed on the basis of human contact due to occupation. As per reports, dedicated vaccination camps will now be set up across the district to propel this and increase vaccination among labourers, women domestic help, washermen, salon workers, priests, petrol pumps and gas agency employees.

The official release stated that the vaccination activities will be conducted for 12 hours at each such centre, from 7 AM to 7 PM, to administer jabs on priority to those who fall in the aforementioned categories. This statement directed the use of vehicles with audio systems to spread the word about COVID-19 appropriate behaviour and infection precaution across the district.

Besides this, other dedicated inoculation camps will also be organised for the labourers at the 'Mazdoor Chowk', informed authorities. Considering the fact that people have to wait in queues for longer durations, the facilities will also provide drinking water and resting shade to the beneficiaries after the vaccination. Other amenities, such as food packets will also be made available for people staying in shelter homes, read reports.
