The YN Road in the city of Indore turns into artists' canvas who paint the locality walls in vibrant and striking representations of coronavirus warriors as a tribute to the police and health officials who are committedly invested and engaged in the task of containing and eradicating COVID-19.

Art in the times of coronavirus

While there is no major wall in Indore which is not covered in murals, this freshly painted one at YN Road surely does capture the attention of Indories like never before. Etched in the creative beauty of the artists, these paintings not only salute the commendable efforts of the officials but also depict the socially correct way to use a mask- covering the nose, mouth and the chin.

Colouring the city, one wall at a time, the artists have employed a great sense of creativity with these paintings. The street art has depicted COVID-19 doctors in comparison to comic superheroes, alluding a sense of super power to them, one which will save the world from the dreadful invasion of coronavirus.

Our doctors and police officials, health workers and other such COVID-19 warriors have been fighting with the virus, on front foot for the last 7 months, defending us from the perilous infection of the coronavirus. And now, it is citizen's turn to acknowledge, appreciate and applaud their spirit of adherence.
