With the implementation of stringent lockdown curbs, the infection tallies and positivity rate seem to be dropping now. In view of this, the wards in the cities of Madhya Pradesh including Indore are being divided into 'red', 'green' and 'yellow' depending on the count of residents diagnosed with the disease. Areas with a high count of infections will be marked 'red' while 2-4 cases would bring the 'yellow' tag and 'green' would signify no cases at present.

As per reports, 93 villages across Indore with 3 or more cases have been marked as 'red'. Consequently, all services except those providing essential and necessary products, have been suspended there. Further, the administration aims to clamp the count of cases, with amplified restraints as soon as possible so that normalcy can be restored soon. Given these active interventions, it can be expected that the case tally would be controlled soon.

In a strong move to break the chain of infections, it has been decided that door-to-door campaigns for detecting patients infected by the deadly virus will be initiated in the city. As a part of the plan, a committee of Asha workers will visit the households to spot and identify patients with symptoms so that they can be isolated and treated immediately. Besides providing them with primary medical resources, it has been directed to ensure that quick admission in hospitals or COVID centres is given, in case of need. While the daily case count is dipping in Indore, strict measures are required to mitigate the possibilities of any lags.
