Owing to the persistent traffic congestions in and around the roads of Rajwada markets, the Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) has implemented a new traffic plan for the area this Monday.

As part of this initiative, on a trial basis, two key roads, namely Bada Ganpati to Krishnapura Chhatri and Nandlalpura to Rajmohalla, have been converted into one-way access routes.

More about the one-way routes

The 1.8 km long stretch of the Jawahar Marg, running from Rajmohalla to Sanjay Setu is now functioning as a one-way route. On this route, the vehicles will be able to move towards Rajmohalla but moving in the opposite direction won't be allowed.

Similarly, for the 1.7 km long, one-way stretch from Krishnapura Bridge to Bada Ganpati on MG Road; Vehicles will be able to travel from Bada Ganpati side towards Krishnapura Chhatri, while traffic movement in the opposite direction will remain restricted.

These directional changes are currently on a trial basis as experimental measures to prevent congestions and streamline traffic flow around Rajwada Market area. If the trial proves successful, these adjustments will become a permanent arrangement.
