Jaipur was sanctioned certain relaxations by the Rajasthan Government given the arrest of COVID infection in the city. As per the orders, Rajasthan Government allowed schools, colleges, cinema halls, multiplexes and swimming pools to reopen from February 8, Monday. This ease has been awarded after almost a year-long hiatus, first induced due to the coronavirus induced lockdown across the length and breadth of the nation.

The city's most iconic single-screen cinema hall, Raj Mandi, kickstarted operations with the screening of Hindi-dubbed-Tamil release– Master and about 20% viewers flocked on Monda, to catch the first show. According to an official, Raj Mandir has a seating capacity of 1132, out of which 50% were on sale, as per state directives. They also informed that more than half of this audience were tourists.

Multiplex, Inox screened 3 movies on Monday, at the Elements Mall in Ajmer Road area. Here too, state guidelines were followed and the number of shows faced the axe. About 75 seats were made available here for the viewers, out of which 33 were sold.
