Amid the warnings of a 'second wave' in Rajasthan, the Pink City is all set to host 3000 weddings in the month of November and now the district magistrate has made the process of registering for weddings, online. The decision was taken after hundreds of people lined up outside the collectorate till Monday, to submit their documents. The queue was hampering the entire idea behind social distancing and now with this reform, conditions are set to get better.

Now, people will not have to wait outside the collectorate for permission to organize a wedding in the district. According to officials, people can apply for wedding permission through mail. They just need to submit details like ID documents of bride and groom, proof of DOB for both the parties, ID documents of couple's parents, the address of bride and groom with the details of the concerned police station, the marriage venue address and wedding invitation card.
The number of coronavirus cases in the state are on a rise with 27,302 active cases reported yesterday, which has pushed the tally of confirmed cases to 2,56,947. This step by the district magistrate will definitely stagger the crowd and help people maintain social distancing to fight the pandemic.
