International travel magazine, Travel + Leisure released the list of 25 best cities globally. In this, Jaipur ranked 8th and Udaipur ranked 10th. Meanwhile, Oaxaca in Mexico topped the list, followed by San Miguel de Allende, also in Mexico, and Indonesia's Ubud at the second and third spots respectively.

The list is prepared with insights from travellers' experiences of a particular city. In declaring the best cities in the world, hotels and stays, Michelin-rated restaurants, rich cultural heritage, top attractions and, in recent years, COVID-19 protocols are weighed in.

Additionally, in the list of top 15 Best Cities in Asia, Jaipur has been ranked third and Udaipur fifth. The top city on the list is Ubud in Indonesia, Chiang in Thailand ranked the second and Osaka in Japan at the fourth place.
