Knocksense Shorts | JDA to now construct two rotaries on the upcoming JLN Marg bridge

Sagar Purswani

Keeping in mind the increasing land disputes near the OTS intersection along the JLN Marg, Jaipur Development Authority has shelved the idea of constructing a cloverleaf structure. As an alternative, JDA will now construct the cable bridge over JLN Marg with two rotaries, one on the Gopalpura Bypass Road and the other on the Sansthan Path.

As per the previous DPR, the 440-meter-long JLN Marg bridge was being constructed under a budget of ₹150 Cr, however, the new plan exceeds the overall budget to ₹185 Cr. As per the reports, the two planned rotaries will be completed by December 2023.

The sole purpose of constructing a four-lane cable bridge was to end traffic congestion at the OTS intersection by making it signal-free. Moreover, an underground pass at all four ends of the intersection will also be constructed, offering pedestrians a safe passage.
