IIT Kanpur joins hands NMTronics India to set up a new skill development centre

To boost research, innovation, and skill development in electronics manufacturing.

The Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT-K) announced a partnership with NMTronics India to jointly launch a new electronics manufacturing and skills development center at the institute. The new center, named NMTronics Centre of Excellence (CoE), is expected to become operational by August 2024.

Boosting collaboration between the industry and academia

The new center will help boost collaboration between the industry and academia for research, innovation, and skills training in the field of electronics manufacturing.

Notably, this new center will be offering support to IIT Kanpur and provide advanced certification programmes for working professionals while also being a launchpad for small businesses and startups to introduce their innovative products.

Furthermore, the center will also support development in budding fields like the Internet of Things (IoT), Artificial Intelligence (AI), and semiconductor technologies. In this partnership, NMTronics will provide technical expertise and access to its advanced facilities to IIT Kanpur.
