Aditya Vikram

In a first, UP is all set to get an Institute of Driving and Traffic Research (IDTR). At this institute, experts from the automobile sector will give driving lessons to commercial drivers. This initiative is an attempt to boost road safety and equip drivers in the state with the necessary driving skills.

The instructors and principal for the institute have already been decided and the first such institute will come up in Rae Bareli, soon. Furthermore, the Ministry of Road Transport and Highway has sanctioned another IDTR in the state, which will be set up in Kanpur.

It is noteworthy that the IDRT will also upskill people in skills related to automobiles, other than driving. As a result, the new facility will also contribute in UP's employment generation.
