Christened ATMAN (Advanced Technologies for Monitoring Air-quality iNdicators), the center will focus on enhancing air quality in Kanpur and across the country.

The center will leverage Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and Low-cost manufacturing capabilities to build tools and technology to enhance AQI levels.

It is noteworthy that Kanpur's AQI today stands at 188, which is dangerously close to 'poor'. Hence, this new Center of Excellence, the first of its kind in the country, is welcome and timely.
