Knocksense Shorts | Kanpur Chess Association to host U-19 chess championship on May 14

The tournament aims to select the top 2 players from the boys' and girls' categories, who will then represent Kanpur in the state-level championship.

If you have a talent for strategizing and moving pawns, knights and rooks on the chessboard, or if you are a proud parent who wants to showcase your child's chess prowess on a larger platform, then you may have the opportunity to represent Kanpur in a state-level championship.

The Kanpur Chess Association (KCA) is organizing a U-19 qualifier chess championship at Virendra Swarup Education Centre of Kidwai Nagar on May 14. To be eligible to participate in the KCA's U-19 championship, players must have been born on or after January 1, 2004.

Additionally, this tournament aims to select the top 2 players from the boys' and girls' categories, who will then represent Kanpur in the state-level championship taking place in Varanasi. The state-level championship will be organized between May 18-20.
