Knocksense Shorts | SIB SHInE Fellows Batch 22-23 announced by IIT-K and KGMU Lucknow

The fellowship program which will commence on September 1st will provide good opportunities for the growth of MedTech innovations in India.

Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur and King George Medical University, Lucknow have announced the initial batch of the School of International Biodesign-Synergizing Healthcare Innovation and Entrepreneurship (SIB-SHInE) fellowship program. It is sponsored by the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Govt. of India. The fellowship is a year-long full-time residential program, with the sole objective of creating the next-generation of MedTech entrepreneurs.

For the inaugural batch, a list of 9 fellows has been announced by IIT-K and KGMU Lucknow who will work towards the upliftment of the healthcare ecosystem of India and will strengthen the architecture of the next-gen biomedical technology by developing indigenized MedTech systems and devices.

The program was launched back on July 6, 2022, by the DBT, India and received an overwhelming number of applicants, out of which 9 of them qualified through the final stage. The details about the nine selected fellows can be found here.
