Sport plays an integral part in the overall development of people. Keeping that in mind, on May 18, the new NA Ramaiah Sports Stadium at National Sugar Institute was inaugurated by Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, Minister of State for Rural Development of India.

To mark the occasion, a friendly cricket match was also organised between Sugar Tech XI and Engineering XI teams.

Let the Cricket Begin!

Well equipped with a visitor gallery, dug outs, changing rooms and dinning area for athletes, this stadium is a prefect place for a challenging cricket match among other sports. After strengthening its academic front, NSI, being an institute of global recognition, is gradually building basic infrastructure facilities for all round personality of students. This stadium is another step towards that goal.

Playing various sports helps students learn life skills such as teamwork, leadership, accountability, patience, and self-confidence and prepares them to face life challenges. In the past, NSI students have participated in state championships and with the development of such facilities, their participation is likely to increase.
