Next stop, Education: First of its kind, train coach-style school in Kanpur is wooing students!

In a bid to encourage students' interest back to school, an educational institute in Kanpur's Bhitargaon has been remodelled to look similar to a train coach. The classroom and corridor walls have been painted to look like a rail which is bound to encourage students to attend school. Garnering much attention due to its novel approach, the school has lodged its name as the first of its kind to inspire children, returning to schools after an 11 month-long vacation due to the pandemic.

Enroute Education, Kanpur's 'train' school begins its unique journey

The Uttar Pradesh Government permitted all schools to resume classes for standards 6 to 8 from February 10, after a long break of 11 months. Closed in March 2020 with the effect of the coronavirus lockdown, the schools in the state head towards normalcy but none like this one in Kanpur district, which has kicked its unique journey to education!

The school has completely changed its look, by painting classroom and corridors as rail rakes while the kitchen looks like the train engine. Executed on the recommendations of the teachers and headmaster, the State Resource Teachers Group has transformed the institute in an attempt to fabricate another reality for students, away from the perils of the ongoing pandemic. This will not only help to bring back students to school campuses after the long hiatus but will also give wings to their imagination.

The Minister of Commerce and Industry took to Twitter to laud the school's effort to welcome student's return to campuses. He also stated that such innovative measures will inspire, encourage and build curiosity among growing children.
