Adorning the antique walls of Qaiserbagh's iconic Baradari, the ongoing New Crafts Silk India 2023 is charming Lucknowites with resplendent weaves.

Offering all shopaholics the chance to add intricate and style statement to their wardrobes, this vibrant expo will be set up till September 10. Get ready for upcoming festivities with a diverse variety of Indian handlooms, jewellery, craftwork and more at display here!

With hueful weaves from states all around India, Silk Expo is all set to awe shoppers

With an array of colours, the Silk Expo is featuring artisans from Orissa, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, West Bengal, Punjab, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Karnataka and more. From Gujarat's fabrics to Rajasthan's bedsheets, from Banarsi sarees to Ladakh's ensembles, enthusiasts can find a humongous variety of genuine, high-quality weaves.

One of the sellers here, Azad Handloom, talked to Knocksense about the authentic Batik sarees from Bhagalpur on display. While Palm Leaf & Tassar Painting shared about Orissa's Pattachitra art, the exhibitor also explained the intricate craft made by tribals on brass jewellery. Rich paintings and wall hangings by skilled artisans here speak of stories on Krishna and more mythological characters.

Apart from clothing, bedsheets, curtains and more soft garbs, the exhibition also has shops of hueful crockery, spices, oxidised jewellery, wooden furniture, paintings and more.
