After metro, Lucknow to soon get its first bike taxi service!

Knocksense Staff

After Ghaziabad and Noida, Lucknow will too get its first Bike Taxi service, by the end of February. Ola and Uber will soon be offering their two-wheeler taxi service, which will cost you less than the cabs.

Bike taxis are a perfect solution to reduce traffic and travel time. Bike taxis could be more convenient for single travelers as compared to four-wheelers. 700 bike taxis, will be seen running in the city very soon, in which 500 licenses will be issued to Ola and 200 to Uber. If the demand is felt, the RTO will also issue licenses to women.

The state transport authority rules, the motorcycles can be of any colour, apart from Red, black and maroon. The bike rider can carry only one person and will also have to provide him/her with a helmet.

The booking can be made through the apps, similar to how you book a cab. Also, the bikes which will be used for this service, cannot be more than two years old.
