Cancer Institute in Lucknow to get advanced diagnostic and research center

The center will be built on the Public Private Partnership model.

The Kalyan Singh Super Specialty Cancer Institute in Lucknow is all set to bolster its research capabilities in the field of cancer treatment. The Uttar Pradesh cabinet approved the proposal to build a Center for Advanced Molecular Diagnostic and Research at the institute on Tuesday.

Furthermore, the said center will be built on the public private partnership model where the institute will provide 25,000 sq ft of land for the project.

Research center to be set up with the help of IIT Kanpur

According to health and government officials, this advanced research center at Lucknow's Cancer Institute will be built with the help of Mumbai's Karkinos Healthcare Pvt Ltd and IIT Kanpur. Once its up and running, the said center will significantly boost the institute's cancer treatment ability as well as its diagnostic accuracy.

Apart from this, the center will also work to come up with new treatment modalities for cancer patients. In a nutshell, the said research center will further enhance the quality of care patients get at this institute, which spreads across an area of 80 acres.
