Stepping forward towards the goal of a cashless economy, the transport officials in Lucknow have now come up with an inventive scheme to facilitate cash-free transactions. Once this initiative is executed, the passengers travelling in buses will be able to use their ATM cards, other debit or credit cards for paying their fares. For this purpose, 1,000 ETM machines will be purchased and they will be used for facilitating cashless transactions.

The manager of Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation, Pallav Bose affirmed that the project is in its budding stage and the officials are trying to accelerate the plans. It is expected that the complete implementation of the scheme will take nearly 3 months.
