Gorakhpur-Lucknow Vande Bharat Express completes trial run; Commercial launch on July 7

After the successful launch of Vande Bharat Express from different parts of the county, now it’s Lucknow’s turn. The Gorakhpur - Lucknow via Ayodhya Express, departed from platform 9 of Charbagh Railway Station in Lucknow on July 4 morning for it’s trail run.

The new eight coach train was greeted with cheers as it trailed off from Lucknow for it trial run while the onboard staff inspected the train system. The train will officially be commissioned for public use from July 7 after required examination.

Vande Bharat Express train details 

Talking about the train specifications, 7 of the eight coaches will have chairs while 1 will be executive category. The executive coach will have 180 degrees rotating chairs with wide angle window view and a charging point near the footrest. All coaches will house an audio-video unit through which arrival and departure from stations will be announced. 

As per the authorities, official schedule of the train will be released once railway board has given it’s approval.
