With International Women’s Day right around the corner, Lucknow is giving us another reason to smile! Given that women’s safety is a raging issue in the country, here’s a reason to be a little less worried while you’re here in and around Uttar Pradesh.

What’s the News?

UP CM Yogi Adityanath inaugurated the exclusive Pink Express buses and we’re all heaving a sigh of relief.

This initiative is under the Centre's ‘My Safe Bus Initiative' which states that UP has to be equipped with around 50 pink buses which should feature CCTV cameras and a much-needed panic button. The bus crew will consist of ONLY women and this is an exemplary example of women empowerment and progressive girl-power!

Though these buses are for exclusively for women, male relatives can tag along as well.
