Knocksense Shorts | Khelo India University Games to kickstart in Lucknow

The Khelo India University Games 2023 which are to be hosted by Uttar Pradesh are set to commence on 25th May. The opening ceremony for the event will be held at the Babu Banarasi Das University of Lucknow. Notably, the institute has now been adorned with festive decor and has been restyled into a full-fledged sports village for the duration of the games.

The Khelo India University Games 2023 will span across four cities - Lucknow, Varanasi, Noida and Gorakhpur while an additional sport event is scheduled in Delhi. A 10-day series of 21 competitions will be organized in the cities followed by the closing ceremony in Varanasi on May 3.

An estimated 4000 athletes, 1200 support staff, and 900 technical officers will participate in the event, accompanied by 1300 volunteers in attendance.
