Indian food and catering industry is meeting the rising demand for healthy and organic food by offering farm-to-table options. On the same lines, a new and specialized organic restaurant, 'Organic Oasis' has now opened in the Sushant Golf City area of Lucknow.

The restaurant which was thrown open for the public this Tuesday is operated by Former Deputy SP Shailendra Singh.

Running on a farm-to-table-based concept, the restaurant provides a range of vegetarian dishes at reasonable prices. The owner's farm supplies the ingredients used for cooking the food, which is grown using organic manure, compost and herbal pesticides.

Moreover, the restaurant's inaugural ceremony held yesterday featured a unique guest, a 'Desi breed' calf - which symbolized the organic and farm-based theme of the establishment, surprising many attendees.
