Lucknow's Sanjay Gandhi Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences (SGPGIMS) is all set to start the new tele-ICU services in January 2024. The said step has been taken to make up for the shortage of ICU beds and will allow the institute to seamlessly operate up to 10 Intensive Care Unit beds, via the hub and spoke model.

Apart from this, the Director of the Institute has also said that several new initiatives will be taking shape in 2024. It is noteworthy that the institute already ranks as third best in government medical education and now aims at boosting its NAAC and NIRF accreditations.
