Despite the vibrant spirit and festive cheer, Holi celebration is often overshadowed by the reckless drivers, stunters, and miscreants who are often found under the influence of intoxicating substances, exhibiting unruly behaviour on the roads.

Owing to this, the Lucknow district administration has released necessary guidelines to maintain law and order in the district. Under this, the traffic authorities will be deployed in parts of the city and have been duly permitted to take strict action and even cancel the driving license of the miscreants who are caught displaying unlawful behaviour on roads during Holi.

Lucknow DM, Suryapal Gangwar further stated, "Officials from concerned departments will coordinate to exercise vigilance on all the routes designated for the procession of Holi festival."
