Boosted by the huge investments comings its way in this year's Global Investors' Summit, Uttar Pradesh will soon add 15 more ethanol distilleries, taking the state's total tally to 100. With the addition of these distilleries in UP, the state will surely become India's biggest ethanol producer.

It must be noted that the existing 85 distilleries in UP and the 15 that will soon be set up, include both surgarcane-based and combined mode distilleries (that are based on both sugarcane as well as grain).

Furthermore, ethanal production in Uttar Pradesh is also predicted to touch 160 crore liters in FY 2023-24, which will by far be the highest in the country.
