Robin Hood Academies in Lucknow to celebrate Teachers' Day with skits, quiz competitions & more

9 academies, 500 kids, and a day dedicated to their beloved teachers.

Aditya Vikram

Remember Teachers' Day at school? No studies, lots of fun games and competitions, and gift-wrapped pens as presents for teachers (who would forget those customary pens!). Well, that's exactly how the Robin Hood Academies in Lucknow will celebrate the day today, starting at 4:30 PM.

Kids at these not-for-profit educational centres in Lucknow run by the Robin Hood Army are in for a fun evening. The celebrations will feature activities like skit performances by the kids, snack distribution, quiz competition, and cake cutting.

As a tribute to the Robins who teach them at these centres, the kids will also draw pencil sketches of their favourite teachers.

Here's how you can volunteer and make a difference!

The Lucknow Chapter of Robin Hood Army currently runs nine academies in Lucknow, where they teach underprivileged kids from the surrounding areas. These academies are run in open spaces like parks near the slums to make it accessible for as many kids as they can rope in.

Areas where the Robin Hood Academies operate include Ashiyana, Kathauta, Ratan Khand, Aliganj, Sadar, Vrindavan Yojana, Aishbagh, Nehru Enclave, and another academy will be coming soon in Indira Nagar.

So, folks! If you also want to volunteer and become a part of the RHA mission, here's how you can do it:
