To enhance the precision and efficacy of Diabetic Retinopathy treatment, the Ophthalmology Department at King George's Medical University (KGMU) in Lucknow is gearing up to acquire state-of-the-art equipment and advanced machinery. This initiative aims to elevate the quality of care and diagnostic capabilities for patients.

The Diabetic Retinopathy Center has secured dedicated funding, enabling specialized care for individuals with diabetic retinopathy. This funding ensures access to comprehensive treatment options and personalized care for those in need.

Diabetic Retinopathy, a complication prevalent in diabetic individuals, results in damage to the retinal blood vessels due to elevated blood sugar levels. If untreated, this condition can progress to vision loss and potentially lead to blindness. The initiative by KGMU Lucknow is poised to enact a substantial impact in combatting preventable blindness attributed to this condition across the state.
