Lucknow News | LDA approves 3 new parking spaces at Chatori Gali, Buddha Vihar & 1090 Crossing

₹73 crore sanctioned for parks and memorials in Lucknow and Noida.

Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) has approved three new parking facilities under the public-private partnership (PPP) model. The decision was taken during a recent board meeting of UP Smarak Samiti. The parking sites identified include:

  • Chatori Gali parking near 1090 Crossing – base annual lease value: ₹20 lakh

  • Buddha Vihar parking near Gomti Riverfront – base annual lease value: ₹15 lakh

  • Parag booth parking near 1090 Crossing

The committee is expected to issue requests for proposals from private operators to manage these spaces shortly.

₹73 crore sanctioned for park & memorial development

Alongside the parking decision, the committee has approved a budget of ₹73 crore for the financial year 2025–26. These funds will go towards development and beautification projects in Lucknow and Noida. Planned work includes landscaping, lighting upgrades, electrification, general upkeep, and improved visitor facilities across various public parks and monuments.

Parks & sites under committee’s management

Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sthal

In Lucknow, the UP Smarak Samiti manages:

  • Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar Samajik Parivartan Sthal

  • Manyawar Kanshiram Green Eco Garden

  • Manyawar Kanshiram Memorial

  • Bauddh Vihar Shanti Upvan

  • Ramabai Ambedkar rally site and adjoining areas

In Noida and Greater Noida, it oversees:

  • Park near DND Flyover (Gautambudhnagar)

  • Gautam Buddha Park

  • Babasaheb Ambedkar Park (built by Greater Noida Authority)

The committee is also responsible for security and upkeep at these locations.
