In a major move to tackle traffic congestion, a four-lane flyover is set to be constructed at Dubagga Crossing on Hardoi Road. The project, aimed at providing smoother transit for city commuters, has reached the proposal stage following a joint survey by the UP State Bridge Corporation (Setu Nigam) and UP PWD.

Once completed, the 1,200-meter flyover will directly connect key routes, including Hardoi Road, IIM Road, Agra Expressway, and Kanpur Road, significantly easing traffic flow for vehicles entering and exiting the city. The structure will start before the petrol pump near Dubagga Crossing and end after crossing the intersection.

Dubagga Crossing, one of Lucknow's busiest intersections, experiences a daily traffic load of around 1.5 lakh commuters. During peak hours, it takes nearly 20 minutes for vehicles coming from Balaganj to cross the intersection. The new flyover is expected to alleviate such bottlenecks, benefiting thousands of commuters daily. A detailed project report is currently being prepared, and Setu Nigam has submitted a formal proposal to the state government for fund allocation.

In addition to the flyover, the area is part of the city's expanding metro network. UPMRC plans to extend metro services through the same route, requiring coordinated efforts between both projects.
