Passengers travelling via UPSRTC buses will soon be able to book meals online during their journey. The corporation is relaunching the 'Meal On Road' app, aimed at enhancing the travel experience by offering convenient food ordering options on the go.

Reportedly, the dedicated 'Meal On Road' app was originally launched in 2018 for UPSRTC buses but was discontinued during the pandemic. With the relaunch set to happen in the coming days, passengers will be able to pre-book meals from authorised passenger plazas, affiliated with the corporation. The app will be available on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Currently, UPSRTC buses halt at designated passenger plazas under contract with the corporation. However, delays often occur as passengers take time to eat at these stops. With the app’s relaunch, meals can be pre-booked and quickly picked up from the plazas, helping reduce halt durations.
