Monsoon has finally arrived across the state with over 12 districts in East UP already receiving varying degrees of rainfall. The rains are now predicted to intensify on Friday in these districts. Furthermore, monsoon is predicted to expand to other East UP districts from today, including the state capital, Lucknow.

Hence, the Meteorological Department has issued a heavy rain alert for 30 districts in East UP. Thunderstorms are also expected to hit several districts in the region.
