A new four-lane flyover will be constructed in Lucknow‘s Gomti Nagar, to address traffic bottlenecks at 1090 Crossing and Samta Mulak Chowk. Part of the ongoing Green Corridor project, the flyover will enhance connectivity between IIM Road and Gomti Nagar.

Route & Project Details

As per a report by Amar Ujala, the flyover will begin at Baikunth Dham and end near La Martiniere Boys’ School, spanning 2.02 km. It is expected to cost ₹570 crore and is scheduled for completion by 2027. The tendering process will be wrapped within three months. The flyover will bypass the 1090 crossing rather than run directly over it, ensuring minimal disruption at the junction.

A second flyover, 2.2 km in length and costing ₹430 crore, will be built further along the same route to link with the G20 Road. It will provide access from the Green Corridor to Shaheed Path and the Ekana Stadium.

This new flyover will feature a cloverleaf-style interchange, allowing signal-free, highway-style movement between directions.
