Are you done with expensive gyms burning a hole in your pocket every year in the name of fitness? A healthy and hale lifestyle is no longer far away from the people of Lucknow with Lucknow Municipal Corporation's novel enterprise of setting up as many as 100 open gyms in the city.

As a part of the project, the first open-air gym has officially being flagged off at Maharana Pratap Park in Sector Q of Aliganj. With this, you can workout in peace, in the lap of nature, with even stars above you, at this open gym in Lucknow.

First open-air Aliganj Park ready to be used

The park comprises 16 urbane equipment funded by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited CSR. These include an elliptical cross trainer, arm wheel, a recumbent cycle, comfort cycle, two-person parallel dip stations and bar exerciser, a walking bicycle chair, air walker, among others, the move is aimed at promoting a healthy lifestyle and providing free access to fitness for all.

Three phases to this process will comprise the first one with 35 gyms installed in various Lucknow parks. These will include Govardhan Park in Gomti Nagar, Uma Vatika in Jankipuram, CID Park in Mahanagar, Gulab Vatika Park in Alambagh, among others. The first peg of the endeavour is slated to be implemented by the first week of March 2023.
