Following which, Meteorological Department has issued a warning for heavy rainfall on 18 and 19.

Widespread rain and gusty winds across UP

Meanwhile, strong winds of 40–50 km/h are expected today across many UP districts. The Met Department reported light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms in 51–75% of western UP and 26–50% of eastern UP. Notable rainfall included:

  • Bareilly: 149.4 mm

  • Nakur (Saharanpur): 120 mm

  • Bijnor: 86 mm
