Senior citizens & freedom fighters to get special offers on the occasion of Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav

Grand preparations have been made by the UP state government to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Independence in Lucknow. To honour the freedom fighters and heroes of the country, one such initiative is being taken up by Lucknow Development Authority (LDA) under ‘Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav‘.

As part of this, attractive discounts are being offered at hotels, restaurants and famous malls across the city. The special exemptions are available exclusively for military personnel, freedom fighters, their families and elderlies of 75 years of age.

Special offers and benefits for Indian Heroes 

In the spirit of Independence, and to commemorate war heroes, a special 50% discount is being offered on hotel bookings and up to 25% off on bills at food restaurants. Even the malls of the city are proposed to be part of the initiative and will offer attractive deals at different stores for the special category of people including elderlies and families of freedom fighters.

According to officials, shops have also been provided to caterers at Asha Jyoti Lane, popularly known as the Chatori Gail, free of cost. You can find yourself tangled between aromatic foods options such as chole bhatura, pani ke batashe and delicious malai chaap along with rumali rotis, and then some.

Additionally, the iconic Ganj Carnival, under Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav will help intricate patriotism among the citizens of Lucknow from August 15 to 17. The administration and Hazratganj Traders Association will decorate the entire Hazratganj with tricolour lighting and national flags.

Starting with the distribution of 75 kg of laddoos, a stage will also be set up near the multilevel parking for programmes, including folk and classical dances along with Awadhi musical performances.

The Hazratganj main road will remain closed for traffic during the carnival.
