Syed Modi Super 300 returns to Lucknow with India’s largest-ever 152-player contingent

The Syed Modi India International Super 300 Badminton Championship begins at Babu Banarasi Das U.P. Badminton Academy on November 25, drawing a strong international field. Former champion Kidambi Srikanth, Olympians Nozomi Okuhara and HS Prannoy, along with defending women’s doubles pair Treesa Jolly and Gayatri Gopichand, headline the competition. Notably, India will field its largest-ever contingent with 152 players this year, including Uttar Pradesh’s Shruti Mishra.

Prize money & tournament format

The Uttar Pradesh Badminton Association has announced a total prize purse of USD 240,000. All five events which are men’s and women’s singles, men’s and women’s doubles and mixed doubles, will feature 32-player or pair draws, with 28 direct entries and four qualifiers.

Schedule & main matches

Qualifiers and selected main-draw matches will be held on Tuesday, while the finals are scheduled for November 30. In the women’s doubles main draw, Shruti Mishra, Samriddhi Singh, Sonali Singh and Tanisha Singh will represent the hosts, with Ayush Agarwal and Shruti Mishra leading the state’s charge in mixed doubles.

Entry for spectators will be free. The semifinals and finals will be broadcast live on DD Sports and the WAVE OTT platform
