The Taj Mahal Hotel in Lucknow is set to expand with the addition of 96 new luxury rooms. Located in Vipin Khand, the expansion will span nearly 100,000 sq ft and overlook the Ambedkar Memorial Park and Gomti Riverfront.

Classical design with contemporary refinement

Designed by CP Kukreja Architects, the new wing continues the architectural language of the existing five-star hotel. Highlights include a double-height arched colonnade at the lobby and upper floors designed for privacy and panoramic views.

Suma Venkatesh, Executive Vice President of Real Estate & Development at the Indian Hotels Company Limited, said the project reflects Taj’s ethos of blending heritage with evolving guest expectations. The expansion is designed to enhance the hotel’s iconic identity while delivering a refined, modern experience.
