Trains plying via Lucknow-Kanpur route to remain affected owing to Ganga Bridge repair work

Trains will remain affected between Mar 19 to 30, 2025.

The Ganga Bridge which facilitates railway commute between Kanpur to Lucknow is now undergoing maintenance work until March 30, 2025. Due to this, the North Central Railway (NCR) has suspended 32 train services between both cities to facilitate essential track maintenance.

From March 19 to May 1, at least 26 daily passenger trains will remain cancelled on the Lucknow-Kanpur rail route. Alongwith this, several express trains will also be affected, either cancelled or having revised short terminations.

List of affected train services

Services on multiple routes, including Pratapgarh-Kanpur, Lucknow-Jhansi, Prayagraj Sangam-Kanpur Anwarganj, Sitapur City-Kanpur, Rae Bareli-Kanpur, Balamau-Kanpur, and Lucknow-Kasganj via Kanpur, will not operate during this period.

Here's the confirmed list of affected trains on the route:

- Pune-Lucknow Jn Express (11407): Will terminate at Kanpur Central

- Lucknow Jn-Pune Express (11408): Will start from Kanpur Central instead of Lucknow

- Mumbai-Lucknow AC SF Express (22121): Will terminate at Kanpur Central

- Lucknow-Mumbai AC SF Express (22122): Will start from Kanpur Central
