While winter continues painting our landscapes in frosty hues, the holiday season is slowly and steadily unfurling its magic upon us! And with this, we have a little time on our hands to engage in some relaxing endeavours. If cooking/baking takes your stress away, this recipe is for you!
Try this mouth-watering Apple Cinnamon Bread by Chef Sandhya at home, and get ready for compliments galore.
Ingredients Quantity
Flour 500 g
Fresh yeast 20 g
Sugar 40 g
Salt 7 g
Milk 80 ml
Butter 20 g melted
Water Sufficient to make a soft dough
For stuffing:
Apple peeled and chopped 200g
Butter 2 tsp
Raisins 2 tbsps
Cinnamon powder 1/2 tsp
Icing sugar To dust as garnish
1. Combine flour with salt.
2. Combine 100 ml water with yeast and sugar and make a yeast culture.
3. Mix it with flour along with milk and more water.
4. Make a soft dough.
5. Now add melted butter and knead well.
6. Keep the dough to rest for 1 hour.
7. Meanwhile, combine butter 2 tb brown sugar and apples along with cinnamon in a pan.
8. Cook for 2-3 minutes on high flame.
9. Keep aside and add raisins.
10. Now roll the fermented dough into 7- " broad and put the Apple filling in the centre and seal the dough by Appling some water.
11. Place the bread on a dusted baking tray and leave to ferment for 1 hour till doubles.
12. Now make some cuts on the bread and place in a preheated oven at 225°C for 15 mins till golden brown.
13. Take out and cool.
14. Cut into slices and dust with icing sugar and serve.
