Lucknow University has launched a 'Quartile-Excel' Scheme in order to promote and bolster cutting-edge research and knowledge creation. The initiative comes with an objective of contributing to the society and academia by refining research publications.

This incentive programme will empower faculty members, helping them enhance their research work and publish them in scholarly journals by Scopus.

The scheme comes with various recognition measures and Quartile-based incentives

"The University, under the able leadership of respected Vice Chancellor Professor Alok Kumar, has approved the important proposal to promote research publications in Scopus-indexed journals and to recognise academic excellence," LU retweeted.

This scheme entails numerous recognition measures and Quartile-based incentives (on the basis of ranking in Scopus-indexed journals) to nurture a research-driven academic culture at LU. Under the same, monetary incentives will be provided to awardees in a ceremony, thus, motivating all to aim for top-tier publications.

The importance for collaborative research endeavours will also be reinforced and monetary incentives will be equally shared among contributors from the university.
